Education:
B.A., Cornell University; J.D., Yale University

Prior to joining the Law School faculty in 1977, Professor Solomon served as a law clerk to a federal district court judge in Wilmington, Delaware; practiced with a law firm in New York; and taught at the law school of the University of Missouri. He is the author of numerous books and articles in the areas of corporate and securities law, taxation, business and estate planning, and policy-making. He has served as the Inaugural Arthur Young Visiting Professor of Tax Law at Monash University in Australia, the Inaugural Rupert and Lillian Radford Visiting Professor of Law at Southern Methodist University, the Frances Lewis Scholar-in-Residence at Washington and Lee Law School, and the Heyman Center Scholar-in-Residence at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He has also taught at the law schools of the University of Sydney, Australian National University, University of Miami, and Florida State University.
