According to a study conducted by the Pew Research Center, forty percent of the newly wed couples in the United States are those who have divorced or widowed.

The report, which was released on November 14, found 42 million people remarried in 2013, and 23 percent of the married couples had been married before. Also, 20 percent of the couples who got married last year were those who had been married before. The report analyzed the Census Bureau’s 2013 American Community Survey.
